If you are not on top of your nutrition, it doesn't matter how much you work out, your food choices will always show up in the mirror. There's no way around it. Eating properly can boost your metabolism. It's not healthy to starve yourself. You need energy (food) to help you complete the tasks that's required throughout the day. Not eating is not going to give you the results your looking for. It may actually cause you to gain weight and or delay your muscle growth. It's okay to have a treat meal in moderation as long as you don't lose control.
I know its's hard sometimes, but you have to focus on your own progress. Please don't compare yourself to anybody except who you. TAKE PROGRESS PICTURES and compare your results from day one and so on. Don't worship the scale. If you focus on your own results you will be so amazed at the progress you made.
Its okay to be inspired by someone's journey, as long as they don't become an idol. Let that inspiration turn into inspired action. Because looking at someone else for months and not taking any action is not going to get you to where you want to be.
Clap for yourself after each accomplishment that you make. The scale is not your only contributor. Celebrate how your clothes now fit, or how you didn't eat the cake in the break room, or how you worked out 5 extra minutes than last week. It could be that you did more reps than the last time you performed that exercise. Hard work takes time, so be patient and be patient with yourself.
It is important to set goals for yourself that are challenging, but that you can accomplish. Set a long term goal that you can break down into monthly, weekly and then daily goals. How you show up daily, weekly and monthly will contribute to your long term goal which will allow you to make small daily deposits that lead to something bigger.
